Having problems booting a Linux CD?

I have recently had to get a live CD working on a Panasonic CF-52C only to discoverer it wouldn't boot. The fix i discovered was to edit the grub boot line and add

noapic acpi=off

at the end and boot the PC. What this does it disable advanced power settings.

Creating Linux Live CD's

I discovered today that its actually easy to create Custom Live CD's. I used Fedora 10 you install Revisor using yum and then you get a GUI wizard which allows you to choose your OS from Cent OS to Fedora 5 - 9. It allows you to add in 3rd party applications / remove apps / configure networking / add custom boot prompts. It works very well but be aware it does take some time as it needs to download all the packages.
