man = Help command. Every command in Linux will have it’s own ‘Man’ page.
ls = Lists information about files and directories.
ls -a = hides entries starting with “.”
ls -l = displays entries in a “long-list” format
ls -R = Recursive display. List all subdirectories.
pwd = Show current working directory.
mkdir = Make a directory.
rmdir = Remove a directory.
cd = Change directory.
touch = Create a new file.
cat = Display contents of files.
more = Shows files a page at a time.
find = Search for files that meet a desired criteria.
diff = Shows differences in two files.
chmod = File and directory permissions.
ln = Create links (hard links by default).
ln -s = Symbolic shortcut (more like the shortcuts in Windows).
wc = Word and line count.
wc -c = Word count.
wc -l = Line count.
du = Disk usage.
df = Disk free space.
ps = Process status.
ps -a = Show all processes, including other users.
ps -e = Show processes from everyone.
alias = Allows you to create your own shell commands.
history = shows previous commands used.
ssh = Secure shell client. Aka, remote login.
export http_proxy=http://proxy address:port number
you must make sure you have the http:// before the address for this to work.
I highly recommend this book, it is not only simple to read but has some great tips. This is great for both users as well IT people.
Considering most companies including the one i work for are looking at rolling out Windows 7 I think most would benefit from reading this..

App Shopper - This app shows you discounted apps or paid apps that are now free, its where i have got most of my applications from.
Radio for ipad - Excellent online radio including shoutcast.
Google - The google appnot only allows you to search but also gives you access to email / docs + all the other google sites.
Convertor - Great application for every type of conversion i love thefact youcan drag and drop to convert different things.
Where to go - Wicked app for finding places from the nearest pub to a atm..
Below is my list of the best iPad apps available and what they do.
Max Journal - Diary but you can also add photos so it very useful. Its the only diary i have ever kept going.
Atomic Browser - Whilst it might be slightly slower than safari it includes so many options including private browsing and its the only browser that properly works as Internet Explorer. Also includes ad blocking by default.
Zite - Best news reader. It comes in a magazine format and learns as you read, the more topics you gives the thumbs up to themore of that content you will get.. I have discovered so much thanks to this and you can share articles directly on twitter / facebook.
Web Albums - A must if you have a piscasa account. It not only allows you to upload photos but also manage your picasa account from your ipad.
Flipboard - Another magazine but with flipboard you can add facebook / twitter / google reader so it allows you to create a custom magazine with just thecontentyou want. You can also share things with facebook and twitter.
ICar Manager - Excellent way of keeping track of your vehicle costs and mileage.
Sky News - Without doubt the best the newsreader on the ipad, news is displayed in timelines so is very easy to read and all the news on a given subject is together.
1. Multiflow - This makes multi tasking the same as it is in Safari on the iphone where you get to see a screenshot of the app and then you can click it and it restores. A lot better than Apples version.
2. Adblocker - Removes adverts in Safari, makes reading webpages a lot easier and nicer.
3. Color Mail Labels - If you have more than one email account and use the "All Inboxes" view this colors messages from different accounts so you can easily see which mails come from where.
4. ScollingBoard - This allows you to have upto 7 icons in your dock as well as have dock that has unlimited pages so you can put your common icons in your dock it will also allow you to put more icons in a folder that apple does.
5. Retina Pad - Ever installed iphone / ipod apps on your ipad and noticed they look poor well Retina Pad will make then look crisp and clear.
6. Pull to refresh mail - Allows you to pull the screen down to refresh email like in other apps.
7. FolderEnhancer - Allows you to put folders in folders (For example you could have one games folder with Platform where all your platform games are and one for your racing games etc).
Jailbreaking is easy and takes no more than 5 mins..

Change the FdenyTSConnection to 0
